Seeing as Nanami Chiaki is known as the Super High School Level Gamer, she can and will be making references to video games! Well, Julian is from the wonderful universe of Star Citizen – which is almost constantly expanding in terms of in-universe stories. Anything that has happened after February of 2946 in-universe wouldn't go down too well for him, as it'd be essentially declaring the future for him.
Anything else should be totally fine.
He's pretty well-versed in the ways of the UEE – thanks to spending lengthy amounts of time reading up on things – so not much has passed him by (i.e. he will be reasonably surprised by anything she mentions, but he's reached the point where he doesn't really care about such things so much anymore).

That's totally fine; she's not from that far ahead in the future, supposedly? Canon says that DR1 happened around ~2010 or some year around that. But since he's not from a video game series, he should be fine re: Nanami knowing information about him!
