@ is the "at" symbol. It's usually used to refer to another person on a post. For example if you wanted to refer to me while talking to multiple people you would type in @NANAMIN In my case, if I referred to you, I would use @corundum
Like @corundum, the ^ key is used for composing posts or replies In math it is used for multiplication. More specifically, exponents. 2^2 would equal 4. * is an asterisk. I'm not sure the meaning behind it, though... And the last one ~ is a tilde. It's used sometimes in math for similarity, though I think it has other uses too... but I'm not sure what those are.
